It was so exciting to take a road trip to Tolfa this month. We met Guilia and her family again about our next small batch of the Abito x Tolfa bag being handmade.
Tolfa is high up in the hills north of Rome. Farming and horse country, this time it was shrouded in mist.
Created in 1575 for farmers and artisans to carry utensils, the Tolfa bag re-emerged as a must have for students in the 70s in Italy.
It’s a privilege for us to now collaborate with a family steeped in the Tolfa bag tradition to bring our customers the Abito x Tolfa Bag.

The Details ...
We love how the bag is practical and stylish. It is being hand made in high quality, vegetable tanned leather from near Pisa. Our small batch comes in chocolate brown, and in ebony black leather.
Simple shape, beautifully crafted, timeless design, and a generous size (30x23cmx9cm) - just how we like it.

Our small batch will be coming online this month. Take a closer look at the bag being made, and being used in action on our instagram and facebook pages. We were delighted with the response to our preview batch in December - that sold out quickly on instagram!
